Teen Lying in the Road Critically Injured When Struck

But I think people get distracted by the beauty.  How could you avoid reacting in time to avoid a kid unless you were distracted? According to reports a teenager was critically injured while lying in the roadway when struck.  I think this kid is gonna need a car accident attorney.

According to authorities a 16 year old was struck and critically injured at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Sacramento. The teen was struck on Regginal Way and Taylor Street in the Natomas suburb in Sacramento. Authorities stated the 16 year old was lying in the middle of the street and wearing headphones when he was struck by a Chevy vehicle.  Police said the driver called police after striking the teen and remained at the scene. No charges have been filed against the driver. The teen was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries that are reported to be life threatening.
